Policies about adult supervision have been addressed after a shooting during a football game at Mayfield High School last Friday.

According to a post from the Mayfield Independent Schools, all K through 8 students must now be accompanied by an adult at any extracurricular activity at the schools.

The adult who comes with the student will be responsible for them during the event, and any students who do not come with an adult will not be allowed to participate.

School leaders say they will continue to enforce the safety measures already in place, and will still offer trauma support for anyone who wants it.
