Bridge closure in eastern McCracken County after inspection

A bridge has been closed to all traffic in eastern McCracken County after an inspection uncovered significant deterioration.

The bridge across the Clarks River is along Bryant Ford Road between Powers Road and Bypass Road. An inspection found deterioration of the bridge’s substructure, forcing its immediate closure to all traffic. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s engineers must now determine if the bridge can be repaired or if it will need to be replaced.

KYTC said that over 260 vehicles per day use that stretch of Bryant Ford Road.
