Mayfield police searching for moped thief

The Mayfield Police Department is asking for the public's help with identifying a man they said was seen stealing a moped. 

The man was reportedly seen on video shortly after 11 am on Tuesday taking the moped away from a local business. The moped is painted all black and is missing a muffler, which police said should make it noticeably loud.

Anyone with knowledge of who the man is or the whereabouts of the moped are asked to call the Mayfield Police Department at 270-247-1621 or 270-856-3721.
