Mayfield police arrest man on numerous charges

A man was arrested Wednesday after being spotted by Mayfield police driving recklessly across the intersection of 6th and Broadway.

The vehicle drove into a parking lot and struck a concrete parking curb causing damage before it was stopped by officers.

42-year-old Jeffrey King exited the vehicle but was ordered back inside. An odor of alcohol was noticed and King admitted to drinking.

King was charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Investigators also learned King has multiple active warrants in Graves and McCracken County.

He was first taken to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center and then to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
