Mayfield man injured in single-vehicle accident

A single-vehicle accident on Monday sent one man to the hospital in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to McKendree Church Road where investigation determined that 79-year-old Lee Boyd Nelson Jr of Mayfield was driving a pickup when he experienced a medical episode and temporarily lost consciousness.  He traveled off the roadway into a ditch.

Nelson was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
