Mayfield man injured in collision with semi

A Mayfield man was seriously injured when his car reportedly veered into the path of an oncoming semi.

Mayfield Police reported that 94-year-old Charles Wiman was driving on Highway 121 approaching the intersection of US 45 when his vehicle moved into the oncoming lane where 61-year-old John Lewis of Monticello, Kentucky was operating his tractor-trailer truck.
 
Wiman was extricated from his vehicle by the Mayfield Fire Department, and transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was flown to an out-of-state hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

Lewis did not sustain any injuries from the collision.
