Marshall pursuit ends in arrest of Calloway County man

A pursuit in Marshall County Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of a Calloway County man.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports that a deputy observed a vehicle driving on Main Street in Benton at a high rate of speed. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver, 28-year-old Anthony Tyler Davis, fled at a high rate of speed, nearly striking another vehicle.

The pursuit continued through the Clarks River bottoms on Dogtown Road, before returning to Benton on East 14th Street, where Davis finally stopped.

Davis was taken into custody, charged with fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, and other traffic offenses.
