Livingston traffic stop leads to arrest of Paducah man

A traffic stop Wednesday in Livingston County led to the arrest of a Paducah man.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, the stop was made on US 60 after observing a traffic violation. During the stop, the operator provided false identifying information, and further investigation found the individual to be 26-year-old Scott Shirley. Shirley was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Following the arrest, deputies conducted a search of Shirley's person and unprescribed medication and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found.

In addition to the arrest warrant, he was charged with giving an officer false identifying information, as well as drug and traffic offenses.

Shirley was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
