A Princeton man was seriously injured after he was shot at least four times on Sunday in Cadiz.

WKDZ reported that the shooting happened on McRidley Street just before 2 p.m.

Cadiz Police said 49-year-old Aaron Bard went to the home of 46-year-old Lamont Crump after a previous incident at a barbecue, and Crump fired shots hitting Bard.

The first Cadiz Police officer to arrive at the scene treated the victim by applying a tourniquet to stop the bleeding before he was rushed to Trigg County Hospital. From there he was flown to an Evansville hospital.

Crump was charged with assault, wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
