The Graves County Sheriff's office provided more details of a major multi-county drug bust this week, after a fentanyl overdose death in the county.

The sheriff's office said they identified 5 people responsible for trafficking the drugs from Graves County into Hickman and Carlisle counties, and undercover purchases of the counterfeit pills allegedly laced with fentanyl were made in all three counties.

Detectives arrested 31-year-old Taylor D. Jones of Mayfield around 4 a.m. Monday. Jones will face charges in both Graves and Carlisle counties.

Tuesday afternoon detectives made an undercover purchase at a home in Clinton. Allegedly, 58-year-old Reggie L. Martin of Clinton sold them several doses of Oxycodone.

Tuesday evening, more undercover drug purchases reportedly took place, this time in Bardwell. The two men, 67-year-old Daniel A. Lutgendorf and 65-year-old Thomas B. Jenkins were linked to the sale of the same pill police believe caused the overdose death in Graves County.

A search warrant was executed on the Bardwell home of another suspect, 45-year-old Ivory Christopher Parker. Parker was not in the home at the time, and police are actively looking for him in both the Bardwell area and near Holiday, Florida. He will face trafficking and other charges.

The search allegedly uncovered over 900 doses of the counterfeit pills, along with marijuana, hashish, and firearms. The reported street value of the drugs was about $40,000. Police said all of the seized drugs field-tested positive for fentanyl.

The other four men have all been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. Lutgendorf was additionally charged with conspiracy. All five of the men have previous drug convictions.
