The Livingston County Sheriff's Office introduced its newest team member early last week, a K9 named Scooby.

Scooby is a four-year-old labrador retriever specializing in narcotics detection and scent trailing.

The sheriff's office said Scooby was able to join the team and receive handler training through a private donation.

Scooby's handler will be Deputy Jeremy Hillyard. Hillyard is a ten-year law enforcement veteran with prior experience as a K9 handler during his time at another agency.
