A Las Vegas man arrested in Paducah last year has been sentenced to prison for methamphetamine distribution.
Officials say 32-year-old Joseph Smith was sentenced Wednesday to 11 years and 7 months behind bars, followed by a six-year term of supervised release for possession of more than 500 grams of a meth mixture with intent to distribute.
Smith was arrested last year while detectives were monitoring a hotel on Cairo Road for drug activity.
The sheriff's office said a search of his vehicle uncovered over two pounds of meth, marijuana, heroin, suboxone strips, and around 1,000 ecstasy pills.
