The Yeiser Art Center announced Friday that the Lower Town Arts and Music Festival will not be held this year.
The Yeiser Art Center, primary organizer of the event, said they carefully considered this year’s festival before making the difficult decision. They are working to notify and return application fees to the vendors, artists, and performers.
The City of Paducah has been a co-sponsor for more than 20 years by providing financial contributions and in-kind services.
The city will work with the community, local organizations, and interested parties to develop a plan to celebrate the community’s arts and culture in 2026.
In a statement, Paducah mayor George Bray said the festival is a "cherished event for Paducah, local and regional artists, and the Lower Town neighborhood."
