A Kirksey man was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly attacking a motorist then stealing his keys.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to Potts Road in Murray for a report of a man who was “out of control."
Deputies learned that 42-year-old Kenneth Roach had waved down a motorist. They said Roach struck the victim’s vehicle with what appeared to be a crowbar, then reached into the victim’s vehicle, assaulted him and took his keys.
The victim escaped, and law enforcement later found Roach, who was taken to Calloway County Detention Center.
His charges include assault, criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking and public intoxication.
