Juveniles charged with theft and criminal mischief in Lyon County

Five 17-year-old juveniles have been charged with theft and criminal mischief in Lyon County.

Lyon County Sheriff Brent White reports that a complaint was filed from the Indian Point Campground.

The investigation found that the juveniles had boarded eight docked boats around 1:30 am Sunday morning, and removed approximately 30 items from the boats.

Also, two of the juveniles went beyond a fenced-in area at the campground which was prohibited at that time.

The juveniles were charged with criminal trespassing and theft by unlawful taking.

A court designated worker released the juveniles to a guardian.
