Murray State University announced that they will continue to host the Governor’s Scholars Program during the summers of 2026, 2027 and 2028.
The program, which MSU began hosting in the 1980s, is a summer residential experience for Kentucky’s top high school students heading into their senior year.
Murray State is currently hosting 347 students from 117 Kentucky counties for this summer's session from June 22 through July 26. The selected students attend at no cost.
The program’s curriculum is divided into three areas: Focus Area courses for in depth study, General Studies classes that encourage inquiry and leadership, and Seminar sessions that address personal development topics.
Students also enjoy guest speakers, performers, field trips, and special events.
