Pre-election campaign finance statements were due on April 19. However, one candidate for McCracken County Judge Executive has yet to get his filed.
Candidates in the primary must report their campaign finances to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance 30 and 15 days before the election and 30 days after the election if they intend on raising or spending more than $3,000.
The 30 day pre-election report was due on April 19. However, according to the KREF website, candidate Matt Moore has yet to submit a report.
Current Judge Executive Craig Clymer reported that he has raised $49,096.53 and spent $7,492.51.
Democratic candidate Gary Vander Boegh is running unapposed and exempt from primary reporting.
Clymer commented, saying the report is important in assuring transparency in a campaign by listing contributors and proof that fundraising activities are not unlawful.
"Elected officials cannot ignore the laws and expect the public trust." Clymer continued, "I'm honored that community members have donated over $49,000 toward my reelection, as duly reported."
Moore told West Kentucky Star on Monday that his team was not aware that a financial statement had not been filed. He said his team was gathering the necessary information and would have a report filed by the end of the day.
The primary is scheduled to take place on May 17.
