A joint investigation between the Marshall and McCracken County ended with the arrest of a Mayfield man on drug charges.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office said Thursday the investigation led to the seizure of over two pounds of methamphetamine, a large quantity of marijuana, hydrocodone, and drug paraphernalia in Marshall County. The investigation also led to the seizure of approximately three pounds of methamphetamine in McCracken County.
The total estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $225,000.
Authorities said 32-year-old Fabian Carlos Thomas, was staying at a local motel in Marshall due to being displaced by the tornado. He was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (second or greater offense), trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree second offense (Carfentanial), trafficking in marijuana second or greater offense, trafficking in synthetic drugs 1st offense, and driving infractions.
