JPEC sending crews to assist West Kentucky Rural Electric in restoring power

Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative is sending crews to aid West Kentucky Rural Rural Electric Cooperative in western Kentucky.

Six two-men crews from JPEC will assist with restoration efforts caused by the ice storm. As of this morning, 92 outages are impacting nearly 1,200 members.

Since the national network of transmission and distribution infrastructure is owned by electric cooperatives, distribution systems are built to federal standards. Line crews from any co-op in America can arrive on scene ready to provide emergency support.
