A reported boat theft in Livingston County on June 12 ended with charges for an Indiana man.
Deputies responded to Vanhooser Road where a witness was able to provide a description of the suspect vehicle and the suspect's Indiana registration.
With help from Indiana law enforcement, the boat trailer was located connected to the suspect's vehicle in Evansville.
Officials from both agencies met last week and located the boat and additional parts. The boat was reportedly found floating abandoned in the Ohio River.
The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jeremy Jones, was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 but under $1,000,000.
He was additionally served with warrants unrelated to the boat case.
The investigation is ongoing.
