I24 westbound at Eddyville-Kuttawa exit still closed

The I-24 westbound Eddyville-Kuttawa Exit 40 ramp to US 62 is closed and will remain closed until about 8 am Friday.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the westbound exit ramp closed on Wednesday for milling.  

Waffled pavement near the ramp end at US 62 was more extensive that expected.  

Due to the depth of material that had to be removed, the milling crew had to leave the ramp closed until the paving crew arrives.
