Hopkins County man arrested on child sexual abuse material-related charges
A Hopkins County man was arrested on Friday after an investigation into child sexual abuse materials.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, through the course of an investigation, allegedly discovered 46-year-old Henry Winston Strader used electronic devices to attempt to obtain a minor via the internet.
KSP's investigation resulted in warrants to search two addresses in Madisonville. Troopers searched the locations on Friday and took several pieces of equipment believed to have been used in the commission of a crime. They were taken to a forensic lab to be examined.
Strader has been charged with ten counts of procuring a minor by electronic means, possession of matter portraying the sex performance by a minor, distribution of obscene matter to minors, and one count of official misconduct.
Strader was taken to the Hopkins County Detention Center.
