The National Weather Service in Paducah says there is growing potential for some form of a winter storm to impact our area early next week.
They say accumulating snow and/or ice is possible, but no amount can be estimated so far. The greatest potential for wintry precipitation for now looks to be north of the Ohio River.
Many factors in the forecast are still too vague, including how cold temperatures will be, where the ice/snow transition line will form, and how much ice or snow could result.
Meteorologists will refine the forecast through the weekend to draw a better picture of weather on Monday night into Tuesday.
