Home visit in Smithland lands Livingston woman in jail

A home visit Tuesday to a Smithland home by authorities landed a woman in jail on drug charges.

The Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole and the Livingston County Sheriff's Office paid a visit Thursday to the Smithland home of 26-year-old Doris Thorn. While in the home, deputies reportedly uncovered methamphetamine, illegal prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia. 

Thorn was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, illegal possession of a legend drug, and drug paraphernalia.
