Gault named Paducah's interim planning director

At Tuesday's Paducah Board of Commissioners meeting, a former city commissioner was tapped to head the city's planning department on an interim basis.

A six-month contract was approved at the meeting for Carol Gault. In addition to her background as a commissioner, Gault also served as director of Paducah Main Street.  

Gault was approved by commissioners to take over the city's planning department after the departure of Nic Hutchison. Hutchison announced his resignation in May. He was hired for that position in 2021.

Gault assumes her new duties on Thursday.
