Gas leak closes Broadway in downtown Paducah

A gas leak in downtown Paducah has closed Broadway from the 100 block to the 400 block.

Atmos Energy is reporting an incident and outage of which the cause is not yet known.

They say approximately 200 customers are affected and that work is being done to restore service as soon as possible.

Paducah Police are encouraging motorists and pedestrians to avoid the downtown area, and use alternate routes until further notice.

There is no estimated time for when Broadway will be reopened.
