Fredonia man arrested following Saturday night traffic accident

Two people were injured and a Fredonia man arrested following a Saturday night traffic accident in Caldwell County.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office said just after 10 pm, emergency personnel were dispatched to the collission at the intersection of Marion Road and Goodsprings Road. 

Investigators said a truck operated by 49-year-old Charlie Jones of Fredonia pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Mallory K. Lynn of Marion.

Both drivers were treated at area hospitals and Jones was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol.
