Flash flooding possible today, tonight

The potential for multiple rounds of thunderstorms will increase the risk of flash flooding today and tonight.

Training thunderstorms will be capable of causing torrential downpours. An inch of rain or more is expected overall, but localized spots that exceed a rate of 1.5 to 2.5 inches per hour will lead to flooding.

Total rainfall between one half to 1.5 inches is expected again on Sunday afternoon, with a slight chance of exceeding two inches.
