A crash in Graves County early Thursday morning sent five people to the hospital.
The sheriff's office said Abriel Workman of Mayfield was traveling on Old Dukedom Road and failed to see a sign showing the road was closed due to flooding damage.
Workman drove into an open washout after striking an embankment. First responders took Workman and four juvenile passengers to the hospital, and two were flown to an out-of-state hospital.
