Fire damages Marshall County home

Fire damaged a home near Possum Trot on Monday night.

The Possum Trot-Sharpe Fire Department responded to the call off US 62 on Monroe Road just before 7 pm. Units from the Calvert City Fire Department also joined to help fight the flames. Authorities said it took about two hours to get the fire extinguished. They also helped to recover as much as possible from the home.

The Possum Trot-Sharpe Fire Department posted that the American Red Cross responded to assist the residents.
