Weekend weather forecast is just average

The National Weather Service is delivering a weekend forecast that's absolutely average for this time of year.

Sunny days and clear nights are expected through the weekend. Highs will be in the lower 90s. Paducah's historical average high for this week is 90. Lows will be in the low 70s

The only relief will be in the form of a thunderstorm, as a small chance returns to the daily forecast by Monday afternoon and lingers through the week.

The heat index will slowly inch upwards from mid-upper 90s to around 100 by next week.
