This week, a contractor working for the City of Paducah will reinstall approximately 1000 engraved bricks in historic downtown Paducah.

The bricks, originally installed in the sidewalk on North Second Street, were removed during the project to rehabilitate the city block parking area.

They have been stored on pallets at the Public Works Department since their removal.

The engraved bricks include commemorative Bricks, Lover’s Lane Bricks, and bricks to honor veterans. They are being reinstalled at Second and Broadway near the gazebo.

Crews are also working on the sidewalk at North Second Street between Broadway and Jefferson to relocate bricks that have been impacted by tree roots.
