Eddyville man arrested following weekend disturbance

An Eddyville man was arrested last Saturday night following a disturbance complaint at the Lyon County Housing Authority.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said 43 year old Aaron B. Andrews was found intoxicated in a playground and drinking beer in public.

Andrews was arrested after he initially resisted arrest and was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. Once at the office, officers attempted to readjust the handcuffs on Andrews and he began to fight with them. 

Andrews was the recipient of a taser deployment before being again restrained. During his resistance, he injured a deputy and caused damage to the interior of the Sheriff’s Office.

This was Andrews' second incident involving the assault of a law enforcement officer. He was on supervised release for a 2023 case in Lyon Circuit Court at the time of this incident.
