A disturbance at a Kuttawa business led to the arrest of a Marion man on drug possession and wanton endangerment charges.

The Lyon County Sheriff's office said 29-year old Austin Daniel Story was arguing with his girlfriend at her workplace when he hit her with his vehicle, causing her to fall onto the hood. Witnesses said Story then allegedly put the vehicle in reverse,  ejecting the victim onto the pavement and causing injuries.

Story was seen placing the victim in his vehicle, claiming he would seek medical help, but they left before law enforcement arrived. The Marion Police Department and Kentucky State Police found them later at a Marion residence.

Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and transferred to another medical facility.

Story was taken into custody by Kentucky State Police and charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. The Lyon County Sheriff charged him with wanton endangerment and assault.

Additional charges may be pending.
