An early morning truck fire along I-69 slowed traffic and severely damaged the vehicle.
The truck reportedly caught fire near the 14-mile marker of I-69. The Wingo Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Mayfield Graves Fire-Rescue Squad, responded just before 5:40 a.m. The semi-tractor suffered heavy fire damage.
A tanker, two trucks, and five firefighters battled the blaze and the cold temperatures. A lane of the interstate was blocked to give responders room to work and deal with the icy aftermath.
