Four arrested during drug trafficking bust

Four people were arrested and a large amount of methamphetamine was seized following a two day drug investigation in Paducah.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said the investigation begin after detectives received complaints of alleged drug trafficking taking place at an apartment on North 34th Street. 

During the investigation detectives reportedly discovered large amounts of methamphetamine were being transported from Louisville to Paducah and sold from the apartment. 

Detectives executed a search warrant on the apartment on Friday were they reportedly found and seized over 400 grams of crystal methamphetamine, scales, smoking pipes, more than $3,000 in suspected drug monies and approximately $50,000 in fake money.

Detectives said 37-year-old Brittany L. Villa of Paducah was inside the apartment at the time of their search. Villa was on felony probation for drug offenses when she was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives continued their investigation and said they were able to identify a methamphetamine supply source out of Louisville. On Saturday undercover detectives contacted the source and arranged to have methamphetamine delivered from the source to the apartment on North 34th Street.

Three men from Louisville reportedly arrived late Saturday night to deliver the methamphetamine and were taken into custody. 

The three men were 24-year-old Jerry Mayes, 34-year-old Reginald Smith and 24-year-old Eric Johnson. All three men were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail on drug trafficking charges as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
