The National Weather Service received dozens of reports of storm damage, high winds and heavy rainfall during severe weather that moved in from Missouri to western Kentucky last night.

The Weather Service issued a tornado warning just after midnight for Graves County north and west of Mayfield when radar indicated winds of more than 80, 90 and even up to 105 miles per hour. Graves County has had widespread reports of trees down and power lines snapped, but no injuries reported so far by authorities.

In southeast Missouri, reports of trees blown down started coming in before 10pm, with a second round reported around 1am, when water rose over several roads in Sikeston.

Power outages were reported in Alexander and Pulaski counties in southern Illinois by 11pm, and numerous trees were down in Benton and Marshall County by 1230 am.

At 1150 pm, multiple homes were reported damaged in Lowes, KY. Lots of trees were down over KY 131 in Graves County.

At 1225 am, a National Weather Service ground monitoring device indicated a wind speed of 82 miles per hour east of Kirksey in Calloway County. A roof was reported to have collapsed near the Murray State campus.

At 1 am, flash flooding was reported in Carlisle County, where more than 5 inches of rain was estimated. It was reported that there was four feet of water over KY 307 between KY 121 and US 62. Several trees fell on homes and vehicles in the Cunningham area.
