A crash on Tuesday night in Graves County sent a Mayfield man to a Nashville hospital with serious injuries.
The crash happened along I-69 just before 11 p.m. near the 21-mile marker. Graves County Sheriff's deputies said that 22-year-old Ian Henley was on the entrance ramp from KY 80 to northbound I-69 when his vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle continued through a ditch back onto northbound I-69 and hit the concrete divider. That impact caused the vehicle to roll several times, coming to rest on its roof in the left emergency lane. Deputies reported that Henley was trapped in the vehicle, but was awake and alert when they arrived.
Henley was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center but was then sent to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for further treatment.
During their investigation, deputies uncovered evidence that suggested Henley was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Henley was charged with DUI.
