US 62 in Lyon County back open after crash of lumber truck

UPDATE:
Both lanes of I-24 in Lyon County are clear of the accident.

Later today a crew will return to pick up remaining lumber scattered in the right of way.


ORIGINAL STORY:
A crash involving a truck hauling lumber is blocking traffic in Lyon County.

It happened along US 62 at KY 810 in Suwanee. According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the truck's cargo of lumber spilled all across the roadway.

The cleanup process was anticipated to take about four hours, or after 2 p.m.
