Christian County man facing 150 charges related to child porn

A Christian County man was jailed on Thursday and faces 150 charges related to child porn after an undercover crimes against children investigation.

State police said they opened an investigation after the suspect, 39-year-old James E. West II, was discovered sharing child porn online.

His home in Hopkinsville was searched and equipment was seized for examination.

West is currently charged with 100 counts of distributing matter portraying a minor under 12 in a sexual performance. West was additionally charged with 50 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance.

He was taken to the Christian County Jail.
