The Cave-in-Rock Ferry is open after being closed due to high winds.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the ferry was shut down at about 11 a.m. Monday. Winds were blowing out of the west at nearly 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph creating hazardous conditions at the ferry crossing site.
The ferry resumed service just before 7 p.m., on the regular schedule.
The Cave-in-Rock Ferry connects Crittenden County, Kentucky with Hardin County, Illinois.
