A Calloway County man was arrested on burglary charges in Graves County on Thursday morning.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a home on KY 94 between Pilot Oak and Water Valley. A caller reported that someone was attempting to burglarize their home. The caller was not at home but was monitoring remotely.

When a deputy arrived at the residence he saw a suspect who initially attempted to flee but was detained.

Investigation revealed that the suspect had already burglarized one home and was attempting to break in another. Property from the previous burglary was located in a pickup truck that the suspect had driven to the location.

The deputy said that the suspect confessed to the thefts, burglary and attempted burglary.

Fifty-five-year-old Larry D. French was charged with burglary, attempted burglary and criminal trespass.

French was lodged at an out-of-county detention center.
