Brush and tree cutting along US 68 in Marshall County

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has begun mechanical brush cutting and tree removal along U.S. 68 in Marshall County.

Crews will be continuously moving along the shoulders of U.S. 68 starting at the 0-mile marker at the Marshall-McCracken County Line and moving toward the 22.5-mile marker at Jonathon Creek Bridge.

There will be no lane closures. However, motorists should be alert for signage and flaggers directing traffic around the work zone.

Work is expected to be completed by May 15.

This is part of a Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) along U.S. 68 in Marshall County which includes pipe extensions, shoulder grading and other safety improvements. The target completion date for the overall project is October 31.
