A Brookport man was arrested Saturday after he was reportedly found passed out behind the wheel of his truck.
Metropolis Police spotted a truck stopped along Ferry Street with the engine running. The officer noticed the driver allegedly passed out behind the wheel and made several attempts to wake him.
After the driver awakened, the officer told him to put it in park and shut it off. However, the driver, 31-year-old Blake A. Harris of Brookport, reportedly put the truck in gear instead.
Eventually Harris put the truck in park and turned off the ignition.
Harris was given a field sobriety test, which he reportedly failed. He was arrested and charged with DUI.
