Paducah's Board of Commissioners heard from the developers of the new Marriott Aloft hotel during Tuesday night's meeting.
Vincent Troease with National Hospitality LLC said the hotel will be a four story, 120 room facility which will also include a restaurant and bar, swimming pool, gym and conference room.
Troease added construction of the facility, to be located next to the Holiday Inn downtown, will begin either at the end of the first quarter or the start of the 2nd quarter next year.
He also said with not too many hotel opportunities downtown, the Marriott Aloft will be a welcome addition.
In other action, commissioners approved a municipal order with Jim Smith Contracting for the Paducah Riverfront Infrastructure Improvement Project at a cost of no more than $20.4 million.
