Beshear to speak at Fancy Farm Picnic

After lots of speculation and hints, Governor Andy Beshear will speak at the 143rd Fancy Farm Picnic in August.

The confirmation came from the organizers of the picnic through social media channels. This will be Beshear's first appearance at the long-running political showcase and fundraiser since he was elected governor. 

Beshear's visit means there will be a face-off with his Republican challenger, Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Cameron confirmed he would attend last week. 

Billed as the "World's Largest One-Day Barbeque," the picnic is a fundraiser for St. Jerome Church. The annual event takes place on August 5th.
