Benton man arrested on drug charges

A Monday afternoon traffic stop leads to the arrest of a Benton man.

ThrMCCracken County Sheriff's Office said decectives in the Farley area observed a vehicle with expitred tags.

The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Benton Road and Meacham Lane where 39 year old Craig A Battoe was found in possession of two baggies of crystal methamphetamine weighing nearly seven grams. 

Battoe was taken to the McCracken County Detention Center.
