Benton man arrested on drug charges

A Benton man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Sunday.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said detectives in the Farley area saw a vehicle with expitred tags.

The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Benton Road and Meacham Lane where 39-year-old Craig A Battoe was said to be in possession of two baggies of crystal methamphetamine weighing nearly seven grams. 

Battoe was taken to the McCracken County Detention Center.
