Three arrested after McCracken meth investigation

Three people were arrested last week during a drug investigation in McCracken County.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said the first arrest took place last Wednesday when a cooperating source contacted 47 year old Zeth Kovein of Mayfield to purchase an ounce of crystal methamphetamine.

The meth was allegedly picked up at the residence of 60 year old Billy Cutrer in the 3400 block of Hovekamp Road.

The money was then allegedly taken by 44 year old Kendal Terry of Smithland to Kovein. While enroute, Terry was arrested during a traffic stop and the money was recovered.

Cutrer was then arrested at his residence and addtional meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was discovered.

Kovein was arrested Thursday on an outstanding warrrant out of McCracken County at his Mayfield home for conspiracy to traffic in meth.  Additional meth was found along with drug paraphanelia.

All three are in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
