The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said deputies conducted the traffic stop on Roosevelt Road when they discovered the driver 49-year-old Kevin Busby had an active arrest warrant. Deputies searched the vehicle and said they found possible oxycodone in a cigarette pack.
Deputies also learned the passenger, 47-year-old Tonya Bargee, was wanted on three active warrants for non-payment of fines out of McCracken and Calloway counties. Deputies said while transporting her to jail, Bargee allegedly attempted to discard possible methamphetamine.
Busby was arrested and charged with prescription of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, operating a suspended license, failure to maintain insurance and the Marshall County warrant for flagrant non-support.
Bargee was charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and the three warrants.
