A Bardwell man was jailed Monday on drug related charges after failing to produce a drug test.

The Carlisle County Sheriff's Department said 48-year-old Michael Arrowood came to the Carlisle County Courthouse to meet with his Probation and Parole Officer.

During the meeting Arrowwood was required to provide a urine sample for a drug screen.

While providing the sample, Arrowood was observed wearing an elastic belt next to his skin.

Upon removal of the belt, a plastic container containing a substance consistent with urine was located.

The container was for the purpose of providing a false urine sample.

Arrowood admitted that he had recently used methamphetamine and would fail the drug test.

He was charged with tampering with physical evidence and lodged at the Ballard County Jail.
